This Part 2 of “How to hear God’s Voice” series. Please make sure you read How to hear God’s Voice – Part 1 first before you read this one through.

In Part 2, I will discuss about the “WHO” – How do we know if it’s the voice of God? How can we be so sure? This is probably one of the struggles that Christians have been through.

How to hear God’s Voice – Part 1

hear from God
Standard

hear from GodI shared this topic to our Youth group last Saturday. I received good feedback about it so I decided to write a summary about this topic so you can shared it to others too.

How do we hear God’s voice? This is probably one of the most “popular” questions from every Christian out there, including myself. We often wonder: How do we hear from God? How do we know that it’s from God? When does He speak? Which option should I choose? Which job should I take? Should I go back to my home country or should I stay here permanently? Should I be with this man or woman? And many others. As such, it is important to be able to hear from God and to hear it clearly.

I’ve decided to divide this topic into 5W + 1H: Why, Who, How, What, and When/Where.

This is How to hear God’s voice – part 1. I’ll discuss on the importance of hearing the voice of God briefly.

Shelter of God PromisesThis is my personal review on The Shelter of God’s Promises audiobook by Sheila Walsh, as part of christianaudio reviewer program.

At some point in our journey with God, we’d be challenged to having tough times and wondered “Where is God?” or “Does He care?” or “What should I do, God?”. Times like these are the times when we need to look back at our own faith and to His Word. Do you know that there are over than 3000 promises God made in the Bible? Do you know that whatever you’ve been through right now, God has made a promise to you to never leave you? In this book, Sheila Walsh uncovers God’s promises to His people (i.e you and me) and why we should be focusing on Him instead of our own problems and harshness of life.

Everything by lifehouseTo those who haven’t seen me in Everything by Lifehouse drama skit performed in my church last year, we actually had another one again a few months after in a different place. We had a morning and afternoon Sunday service in different suburbs and we had this performed for the afternoon service.

Happy belated Easter and hope this video serves as a reminder that we as Christians need to truly grasp and remember His sacrifice for our sins and live as true and genuine Christians in this world for His glory.

The Radical Disciple by John Stott

Radical DiscipleThis is my personal review on The Radical Disciple by John Stott audiobook, as part of christianaudio reviewer program.

As a Christian (or Christ’s disciple), often we were left wondering – how can we be a good disciple of Christ? The obvious one is of course, to be conformed to His likeness but then again, there is another question emerged: how radical should we be?

The book is meant to uncover these “more things to do if you want to be a serious disciple of Christ” but unfortunately, I find it quite dry and not enough “radical” statements from John.

God is the potter, we are the clay (Part 2)

Note: Before you read this, please read my article on rt 1)" href="http://www.writeforgod.com/god-is-the-potter-we-are-the-clay-part-1.html">God is the potter, we are the clay (Part 1) first.

So we have truly understood what it means to know that God is our potter. What should we do as the clay, now? Does it mean we can just stand or sit idly, while we let God shape our lives as the potter? No! I’ve heard so many excuses people throw such as “It’s God who made us grow”, “It’s God who shaped us into a better person”. It is true, it’s God’s. But there’s no way God magically makes you a better person, a man of patience, a man of obedience, a man of big faith. You have your responsibility to learn and to make the necessary changes as God instructs you to. You cannot just be a patient man out of the blue without learning how to be patient in the midst of “annoying” people or situations!

Why we should wait on God

Ever get tired of waiting for God? Maybe you’ve prayed so hard every day and all the answers you got was “Wait?”. It’s actually what I’ve been experiencing at the moment too for a couple of years and I’m not sure why I needed to wait. All I know is at the end, it’ll always be beautiful in His time, if we follow and rest in Him. Here is a really nice encouragement post that I got from a friend’s wall on Facebook. Not sure who the author is but do let me know if you’ve ever read this somewhere.
